NEW WATER RATES FOR NON-DOMESTIC WATER SUPPLY SERVICES IN PENANG FROM EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 1, 2024

The following isthe water rates for non-domestic consumers effective February 1, 2024 asannounced by Perbadanan Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang (PBAPP) through its mediarelease dated February 7, 2024.

RM1.50 per m3

RM1.57 per m3

Exceeding  35 m3

RM2.10 per m3

RM2.17 per m3

Monthly Minimum Charge

RM15.00 per month

RM15.70 per month

The new tariff adjustment is to include the electricity charges of 7 sen per cubic meter (m3) which is applicable to all categories of consumers. The electricity charges would be reviewed every year based on the previous year imbalance cost pass through (ICPT) surcharge imposed by the electricity supplier.

The base water tariff would be adjusted every 3 years (the next tariff adjustment is expected to be on January 1, 2026). Kindly refer to the FAQ issued by the National Water Services Commission (SPAN) for more information.
