FMM President Attends the Seminar on Taiwan’s New Southbound Policy and Malaysia’s Digital Transformation

On 23 January 2026, FMM President Mr Jacob Lee attended the Seminar on Taiwan’s New Southbound Policy and Malaysia’s Digital Transformation: The Case of Strategic Sectoral Investment and the Taiwan’s Digital Ecosystem as a distinguished VIP guest.
Held at the Persatuan Alumni Universiti Malaya (PAUM) Clubhouse, Kuala Lumpur, the seminar was jointly organised by the Department of International and Strategic Studies, Universiti Malaya, in collaboration with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Malaysia.
The seminar brought together industry stakeholders and academics to discuss strategic sectoral investments, Taiwan’s digital ecosystem, and their implications for Malaysia’s digital transformation. The programme featured special remarks by Representative Lien Yu Ping (TECO Malaysia), and report presentations by academic experts
FMM’s participation reflects its continued commitment to strengthening international collaboration and advancing Malaysia’s digital and industrial transformation agenda.
