The Federation of Malaysian Manufacturing (FMM) successfully organised the Webinar on U.S. Tariff Measures and Middle East Conflict: Implications for Malaysian Exporters on March 19, 2026, a timely session aimed at addressing the evolving global trade landscape and its impact on Malaysian businesses. The session commenced with Welcoming Remarks by Mr Jacob Lee Chor Kok, FMM President, who underscored the importance of staying abreast of geopolitical and trade developments.

The webinar featured expert presentations by Mr Raja Nadhil Aqran and Prof Dr Harald Sippel from Aqran Vijandran, who provided legal and practical insights into the recent U.S. tariff measures, as well as the implications of the ongoing Middle East conflict on global supply chains, shipping routes, and freight costs. The speakers also highlighted key considerations for Malaysian exporters in navigating these challenges.

The session attracted a total of 138 participants, bringing together industry players to gain a deeper understanding of current trade disruptions, regulatory developments, and strategies to mitigate risks in an increasingly complex global environment.
