Initiation of Safeguard Investigation on Imports of Certain Grain-Oriented Flat-Rolled Silicon-Electrical Steel (GOES) and Steel Laminations and Cores by the European Union (EU)
On March 27, 2026, the European Commission initiated a safeguard investigation on imports of certain grain-oriented flat-rolled products of silicon-electrical steel (GOES) and steel laminations and cores, whether or not stacked or wound (SLC) classified under the HS Code/AHTN of 7225. 11, 7226.11 and 8504.90

Interested parties are invited to register and submit comments, information, and supporting evidence via TRON.tdi (https://tron.trade.ec.europa.eu/tron/TDI) under code SAFE011 within 21 days from the date of initiation.
