COURTESY MEETING WITH MR. SAUD SALIM AL MAZROUEI DIRECTOR OF HAMRIYAH FREE ZONE AUTHORITY (HFZA) & SHARJAH AIRPORT INTERNATIONAL FREE ZONE AUTHORITY (SAIF)

FMM President Mr Jacob Lee Chor Kok, accompanied by FMM Deputy President Dato’ Goh Boon Kim and FMM Vice President Datuk Noraini bt Soltan, received a courtesy visit by Mr Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA) and Sharjah Airport International Free Zone Authority (SAIF), together with Mr Geomon George, Head of Business Development, on August 20, 2026, at Wisma FMM.

The meeting served as a platform to exchange views on the respective roles and offerings of HFZA and SAIF and explore opportunities to strengthen trade and investment linkages between Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates. The HFZA delegation provided an overview of both free zones, including their facilities, business ecosystem, investment opportunities and support available to companies seeking to establish or expand their presence in the UAE.

The discussion also explored potential avenues for collaboration between FMM and HFZA, including ways to introduce the free zones to FMM members who may be interested in expanding their operations into the UAE and accessing the wider Middle East market. Both parties expressed interest in facilitating greater business connectivity, engagement and potential collaboration between Malaysian companies and businesses operating within the free zones.
