FMM President Mr Jacob Lee Chor Kok, accompanied by FMM Deputy President Dato Andrew Goh Boon Kim, FMM Vice Presidents Dato Gan Tack Kong and Ms Michelle Hah Mei Kian, FMM Council Member Ms Ivy Teh, as well as key representatives from NCCIM's constituent members, chaired a courtesy meeting on behalf of NCCIM President Dato' Seri N Gobalakrishnan with the China–ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (CABIS) Secretariat, led by Mr Deng Mengbiao, Deputy Secretary General of the CABIS Secretariat and Deputy Inspector of the CCPIT Guangxi Committee, together with his delegation, on July 23, 2026, at the NCCIM Office.

The meeting served as a platform to strengthen ties between both parties and exchange views on enhancing cooperation to promote ASEAN–China trade, investment and business collaboration. The discussion focused on the upcoming 23rd China–ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (CABIS), which will be held from September 17–19, 2026, in Nanning, Guangxi, China, alongside the China–ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO). The Summit will focus on advancing ASEAN–China cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), while fostering innovation, digital transformation and high-quality economic development across the region.
