FMM Engages Zamboanga City Mayor and Key Stakeholders to Strengthen Trade and Business Linkages on September 7, 2026

FMM President, Mr Jacob Lee Chor Kok, together with Ms Norjamin G. Delos Reyes, Commercial Counsellor of the Philippine Trade and Investment Center – Kuala Lumpur (PTIC-KL), and the FMM business delegation, paid a courtesy call on Hon. Khymer Adan T. Olaso, Mayor of Zamboanga City, on September 7, 2026 at Zamboanga City Hall. During the meeting, the FMM delegates introduced their respective companies and business activities, followed by an exchange of views on strengthening trade and business linkages between Malaysia and Zamboanga City and exploring potential areas for collaboration. The courtesy call concluded with an exchange of tokens between FMM and the Mayor.

Following the courtesy call, Mr Jacob, together with FMM key representatives, participated in a closed-door dialogue with the Mayor, relevant government agencies and representatives of the Zamboanga business chambers. The fruitful session provided an opportunity to exchange views on trade, investment and connectivity between Zamboanga and Malaysia, as well as areas for further engagement and collaboration.
