With the latest Customs and Sales Tax policy updates, LMW manufacturers need to stay ahead of changing requirements to maximise available tax and duty facilities while avoiding costly compliance issues. This comprehensive programme provides practical guidance on LMW licensing, customs duty and sales tax exemptions, SMARTGPB, subcontracting, movement of goods, local sales, drop-shipment, ATIGA and Product Specific Rules (PSR), together with the latest requirements affecting LMW operations. Participants will also gain a clearer understanding of licensee responsibilities, common offences and penalties for non-compliance, enabling them to manage their LMW operations more effectively, optimise available facilities and minimise the risk of unnecessary duties, taxes and penalties.

By the end of this programme, participants will be able to:
• Understand LMW concepts, guidelines, legislation and regulations.
• Understand LMW licensing procedures and Customs Duty Exemption, including Import Duty and Sales Tax.
• Improve product Cost Analysis by incorporating Customs Tax Exemption and 0% SST to support more competitive pricing.
• Implement the correct Sales Tax and Customs clearance procedures for subcontractor work involving PCA, LMW, FIZ and NRM.
• Understand and utilise SMARTGPB to facilitate the movement of goods from licensed premises.
• Apply Product Specific Rules (PSR) under ATIGA to facilitate local sales.
