FMM Workshop On All About Leave, Holidays & Wages Administration

Managing employee leave, public holidays and wages is a critical responsibility for every employer. Even minor errors in leave administration, overtime calculations or wage payments may lead to employee dissatisfaction, regulatory non-compliance and costly employment disputes. This comprehensive two-day workshop equips participants with practical knowledge of the statutory requirements governing annual leave, sick leave, hospitalisation leave, maternity and paternity leave, compassionate leave, public holidays, wages, lawful wage deductions, overtime, rest days and hours of work. Through practical examples, case studies and hands-on exercises, participants will gain a better understanding of employer obligations, common compliance pitfalls and the practical application of the Employment Act 1955 in workplace administration.

By the end of this programme, participants will be able to:
Understand the statutory requirements governing leave entitlements, public holidays and wage administration under the Employment Act 1955.
Apply the correct principles in administering annual leave, sick leave, hospitalisation leave, maternity leave, paternity leave and other employment-related leave benefits.
Understand employer obligations relating to wage payments, lawful wage deductions, overtime, rest days, hours of work and public holiday payments.
Calculate wages, overtime payments and statutory entitlements accurately in accordance with the Employment Act 1955.
Identify common payroll and leave administration errors that may expose employers to legal disputes, penalties and non-compliance.
Implement legally compliant leave and wage administration practices that promote good employee relations and minimise employment-related risks.
