Introduction

In an era of rising energy costs and increasing environmental scrutiny, organizations can no longer afford to manage energy on an ad-hoc basis. Mastering ISO 50001: A Practical Roadmap to Energy Efficiency is a comprehensive 2-day intensive focused on the practical application of the ISO 50001:2018 standard. Participants will learn how to establish a robust Energy Management System (EnMS) using the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle, identify Significant Energy Uses (SEUs), establish Energy Baselines (EnBs), and integrate energy management into existing business processes. The course equips organizations with the technical tools and management strategies to achieve sustained energy performance improvement, reduce operational costs, and contribute to global carbon reduction goals.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the program, participants should be able to: Interpret the key requirements and structure of the ISO 50001:2018 standard. Develop the core components of an EnMS. Create an implementation plan for establishing operational control, monitoring, measurement, and analysis processes necessary for maintaining and improving energy performance. Prepare for internal audits and management reviews as key mechanisms for ensuring continual improvement and compliance within the EnMS framework.
