FMM Meets Minister of Economy on RMK-13 Delivery and Manufacturing Competitiveness

Led by FMM President Mr Jacob Lee, together with the FMM leadership, the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturing (FMM) paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Economy, YB Tn. Haji Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir, to exchange views on key priorities under the Thirteenth Malaysia Plan (RMK-13) and the New Industrial Master Plan 2030 (NIMP 2030).

The discussion focused on strengthening Malaysia’s manufacturing competitiveness through productivity-led growth, labour and TVET reform, smart manufacturing and digitalisation, industry-driven R&D, resilient local supply chains, infrastructure readiness, and ESG transition. FMM also highlighted the importance of effective federal–state coordination to ensure disciplined implementation under RMK-13.

FMM welcomed the Minister’s constructive response and looks forward to continued collaboration with the Government to support industrial upgrading, skills development and long-term competitiveness of Malaysia’s manufacturing sector.
